Delta County Memorial Hospital Foundation (DCMH Foundation) is honored to receive a $5,000 grant from the El Pomar Foundation's San Juan Regional Council to support continuing education scholarships. The El Pomar Foundation has served Colorado through grant making and community stewardship programs to enhance, encourage, and promote the current and future well-being of the people of Colorado since 1937.
DCMH Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supports Delta County Memorial Hospital’s mission to be the people’s first choice for accessible, high-quality care and to enhance the well-being of those served. Providing continuing education scholarships for employees throughout Delta County Memorial Hospital and the nine area clinics is one of the key initiatives to supporting this mission.
As research, treatment, and care options continue to expand rapidly in today’s world, further education is necessary to provide the highest level of care to the community. So far this year, fourteen scholarships for Degrees, Certifications, and Conferences have been awarded to health professionals employed throughout the Delta County Memorial Hospital system. From Medical Translators and Lactation Counselors to Registered Nurses, the education supported through DCMH Foundation scholarships expands access to healthcare throughout Delta County and this grant will continue that work.
